Aware of the increasing demand for a homogeneous product that meets the highest standards in terms of food safety, the Alejandro Miguel Group has decided to launch an ambitious project, a dryer for ham (hind legs) and shoulder hams with the capacity for around 800,000 pieces that has the most cutting-edge technology.
The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Economic Development Agency for La Rioja have collaborated in the financing of this project, making it possible for us to now have a centre unlike any other in the sector where we can produce cured hams (hind legs) and shoulder hams.
One of our company’s key principles is to guarantee complete control over the entire process, from start to finish, controlling our farms, our production centres and the release of our products into the market, ensuring we reach the consumer with the best products in their category.
Our own livestock and the selection of only the best pieces are the foundation of our hams and shoulder hams. Using this exquisitely selected raw material, we have initiated a process in our new facilities in Navarrete, where we will emulate the seasons, taking the product from the cold of winter to the heat of summer, controlling temperature and humidity parameters, and guaranteeing a homogenous process in all of its production phases.
